Our Goals

In 2017-18, our goals focus on increasing

• the school performance score

• student academic achievement

• positive student behavior

We plan to address student achievement through:

• analysis of test scores and progress/report card grades

• 6th/8th Grade transition programs

• Career exploration

• Personal/Social development

 

Our Objectives

• Counselors will provide academic support to help close the achievement gap for all students, with transitional focus on incoming sixth graders.
   

• Counselors will provide career lessons for all students with a special career exploration program for eighth graders, helping them transition successfully into high school.
   

• Counselors will provide an ongoing, comprehensive counseling program including classroom presentations, guidance support groups, and individual counseling, to address personal/social needs of students.
